Reactive ultraviolet absorber:「RUVA-93」
RUVA-93, a reactive ultraviolet absorber, easily polymerizes with styrene, acryl and other vinyl monomers and can embed a UV-absorbing functional group into a polymer chain.
Solution
RUVA-93, a reactive ultraviolet absorber, can solve volatilization and migration problems which are typically connected to addition-type ultraviolet absorbers.
Adding RUVA-93 to a vinyl, thermally polymerized or photopolymerized hardening composition can make them very safe and enable their long-term weather stability free from volatilization or the migration of ultraviolet absorbers.
Advantages
Long-term weather stability
RUVA-93 absorbs 290 nm to 360 nm ultraviolet light and, as it does not migrate or bleed from the resin surface, it retains the appearance and surface gloss. This effect is also retained in thin films and fibers.
Chemical resistance and environmental safety
It does not transpire even during processing or use at high temperatures, and it is resistant to metallic ions, acids and alkalis. For this reason, the product prevents molds and work environments from becoming contaminated.
