Organic thermal decomposition foaming agents

UNIFOAM AZ epitomizes Otsuka Chemical's organic temperature decomposition-type foaming agent, which is mainly composed of Azodicarbonamide. UNIFOAM AZ enables the foaming cell structure in plastics and rubbers to weigh less and thus offers a variety of functioning attributes, such as heat-insulation, flexibility, sound-proof, cushion elasticity, ornamentation, etc.

UNIFOAM AZ chemical foaming agents are derived from hydrazine materials and offer superior foam characteristics and consistently high quality.

Solution

Provide functionality to resins such as PVC, olefin, rubber, etc.

By forming air bubbles in the resin, it contributes to the addition of various functions such as heat insulation, sound insulation, cushioning, flexibility, and decorative properties, as well as to weight reduction.

Advantages

  1. Superior dispersibility in plastic, rubber, etc.
  2. Decomposition temperatures suitable for plastic and rubber processing
  3. Ability to control decomposition temperature and speed
  4. Large gas volume 220-245ml/g
  5. Low amount of contamination from degradation
  6. Low degradation over time; excellent storage stability

It is used as a latent curing agent for epoxies used in the fields of paints and adhesives, and as a cross-linking agent for acrylic emulsions containing ketone groups. The physical properties after curing can be controlled by the hydrazide compound used. In addition, the reducing performance of hydrazine allows it to be used as a metal reducing and chelating agent in semiconductor and other applications.

Otsuka Chemical provides the SHADAN series of anticorrosive rust inhibitors for internal combustion engine cooling water manufactured using its unique optimal formulas. The SHADAN series of products are available as an anticorrosive rust inhibitors for use in general environments and also as non-freezing anticorrosive rust inhibitors for cold areas. We propose optimal products for different environments and purposes. Using even just one of our powerful FR series of detergents makes it possible to remove things that inhibit reactions such as slime, scale and rust which occurred in the everyday operation of factories' cooling towers, heat exchangers, scrubbers, screw compressors and other equipment.

We develop and sell special organic chemicals for various rubber compounds by utilizing our organic synthesis technologies, including hydrazine derivatives. In particular, we sell special organic chemicals that can improve the fuel efficiency and durability of automobile tires. Tires are important components that contribute to vehicle safety, environmental friendliness, and comfort. The performance of these tires is largely dependent on the properties of the rubber materials used. The world's first original compounds developed by Otsuka Chemical are used in rubber materials for high-performance tires. These compounds are present in trace amounts in rubber materials, so they are by no means conspicuous, but they make a significant contribution to today's mobility society. In particular, the chemical technology used in fuel-efficient tires, which improves the fuel efficiency of cars, contributes to the reduction of environmental impact, which also leads to the reduction of global carbon dioxide emissions.
