Development of POTICON Resin Compound
TISMO is an ultrafine fiber with a superior reinforcing effect. POTICON is an innovative composite material produced by combining TISMO and various kinds of plastic.
- Microfine properties
Since the dispersion state of fibers in plastics is uniform at the micro unit level, high precision molding and thin-wall molding are possible.
- Superior friction property
By developing a sliding grade, sliding parts with superior friction properties can be achieved without lubrication.
- Superior recyclability
POTICON provides three kinds of recyclability derived from the stiffness, strength, and size of TISMO, and is reusable.
- Superior dimensional accuracy and stability
Since TISMO is an extremely fine fiber with a relatively small fiber orientation in the inner portion of injection-molded pieces, POTICON exhibits superior dimensional accuracy and stability.
- Extreme surface smoothness
Items molded with POTICON, produced by blending with TISMO, have high mold transfer properties and can achieve mirror surface state smooth surfaces.
- Easy molding processability
POTICON can be molded in conditions equivalent to fiberglass-reinforced plastics. Since potassium titanate fibers have low surface hardness and are microscopic, they present the possibility of suppressing mold and molding machine wear in comparison to fiberglass-reinforced plastics, reducing overall costs.
