TERPLUS or Advanced Polymer Synthesized by LRP

TERPLUS is a functional polymer industrialized by Otsuka Chemical using the TERP method, a living radical polymerization method.Together with Prof. Shigeru Yamako's group at Kyoto University, we have been conducting research and development on our original controlled radical polymerization technology "TERP method". TERPLUS is a functional polymer synthesized by the TERP method, and it exhibits unique functions by controlling the molecular weight distribution and polymer structure to a high degree, which was not possible by the conventional industrial radical polymerization method.

TERPLUS or Advanced Polymer Synthesized by LRP

The TERPLUS adhesive series contributes to the construction of a uniform network through advanced molecular weight control in the high molecular weight range, and can be applied to various needs such as low contamination, heat resistance, stress relaxation, and elastic modulus control.

TERPLUS, polymerized by the TERP method, a type of living radical polymerization, has a block polymer structure that enables control of the arrangement of components acting on pigment adsorption and dispersant affinity, resulting in strong adsorption on the pigment surface and steric stability through dispersant affinity. As a result, both excellent dispersibility and dispersion stability can be achieved.
